#60 - Goodbye February!

Oooh how lucky are you? Two posts today lol! I thought these ducks flying away symbolized the end of February nicely. Fly away February, and take all this snow with you!! ;-)

#59 - Sunday Stills Fruit

This is my first time joining in Sunday Stills. This week the challenge is to photograph fruit. I dug into my archives and found this photo I took of some blackberries growing wild by our creek.

#58 - Quack Quack

Ahh, I finally got out to take a walk around our property today. Hubby was home so he stayed in with Jimmy. I got all bundled up, took my camera, and walked down the creek that crosses our property between the 2 roads we live on (we are on a corner). I didn't see anything too interesting, just a bunch of snow, imagine that lol. Then I came to the part of the creek where there are some trees and I saw some ducks so I snapped a couple pics before I took off. Here is one of the pics.

#57 - Find Me Friday

Well, this is a day late...SORRY (I'm still posting it as yesterday though lol)!! I have been so uninspired and sick of the snow lately, but I did get this shot of a cute little American Tree Sparrow. Can you find him?

#56 - More?? Seriously?

Ok, when is enough enough??? Little Jimmy and I spent all day at my dad & step-mom's house and while we were there it was snowing on and off. Her son left for work and a few minutes later called my step sister Becca saying he was stuck in the snow. So she had to go help push his car out. When we finally went home we found the roads were getting really drifted over. Here is a pic of ANOTHER drift against our barn. Not too exciting but I am not in a very exciting mood lately. PLEASE SPRING, COME SOON!!!

#52 - Melting

The snow is melting which is going to create a nice muddy mess. Time to find some cute Wellies (I actually do not own a pair of rubber boots but this year I am getting some, no more old yellow work boots that hurt my feet!) ;-)
Here is just the beginning of what the pasture is going to turn into. It of course starts around the round bale feeder.

Here is a pic of Jimmy at his friend's birthday party last weekend. It was at Chuck E. Cheeses. It was Jimmy's first time there and he had a blast - well, technically it was his second time I guess, the first time was in January 2008 right before he was born! =)

Here is my sweet little Valentine with his cute little smooching lion that his Grammy gave him. When you squeeze it it makes kissing sounds and its cheeks light up red. Jimmy just loves it!

Here is Jimmy pointing to where the baby is. He thinks he/she is in my belly button, which I guess he/she kind of is...lol. I am about 4 months along. I must say that I have a little extra padding leftover from when I had Jimmy. I think I look a lot bigger than I "should" yikes? I will have to post a photo of my profile...hopefully sometime next week =)

#42 - Stuck

It took this happening to get Jim to get the 4-wheeler with the snowplow out lol. In his defense, he has been working A LOT lately so hasn't had time and the wench on the plow is broken so you have to raise it and lower it by hand. But thank goodness he got the driveway plowed after this!

#40 - MORE Snow?

I know, we don't have nearly as much as those east of us, but I know you are all thinking the same thing, when is enough enough?? I mean, its really pretty to look at, but once it gets past a certain depth, it gets harder to get out and do anything. Thankfully I am perfectly content to be inside (and the fact that I got out yesterday for a bit helps too!). Here are a couple pics from today.

Sunset from a couple days ago. I love how the horizon line is glowing and it even follows the outline of the house in the distance.

#38 - Snowy Tree

Another pic from our snowstorm. The wind was crazy, there is still snow stuck to the sides of everything. I had a huge chunk of it covering my truck's side mirror this morning. It had to be 3-4 inches thick! Took awhile to chisel it off, but I got it! Luckily it wasn't a solid piece of ice.

#35 - Feed Me!

Here is one of our kittens from the spring. He is not so much a kitten any more! I took this pic hanging out my kitchen window. He and his brother were just begging to be fed. He gave me this little stare for a while....and then he jumped up at the window! Silly kitty =)

This is a bit late, but here it is. An updated photo of Bo. He has such interesting eyes. I hope that nose turns all brown or someone is going to have problems with sunburns!

#33 - Mackerel Sky

I cheated again, lol. This is a pic from yesterday. A lovely "mackerel sky" I just love it! I have always thought the clouds looked so neat when they do that. I was hoping they would stay that way for the sunset, but they didn't.
